These styles go beyond a volume boost. The grams you need will depend on both the volume and the length you want. Longer styles require more hair because the weight spreads out over more inches. Without enough density, ends can look thin or uneven.
Full Sew-In
For a full sew-in with a closure, you’ll typically need 150–200g of hair. The closure that adds another 40–60g depending on the length and volume you want.
Since a standard bundle contains about 100g, most full sew-ins require 2 to 3 bundles, plus a closure for complete coverage and a seamless finish.
V-Part Wigs
V-Part Wigs usually start at around 150g, depending on the length. However 200g is often the sweet spot for a fuller, more voluminous look. They’re designed to mimic the finish of a sew-in but can be installed at home—no glue, no leave out,
no fuss.
Best for: Quick changes, protective styling, and low-maintenance installs that still deliver impact.
